Human impact on the environment and other species is unavoidable, however, our wrecklessness and thoughtlessness are threatening the planet's capacity to support biodiversity like no other species in history. Many of our sternest enviornmental challenges concern tropic regions, where burgeoning human populations have massive enviornmental impact, not through greed, but simply as a consequence of day-to-day survival.
